Notable downtown businesses include Alstom, BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee, The Chattanooga Bakery, Chattem, the world's first Coca-Cola bottling plant, Coker Tire, Coyote Logistics, Double Cola, CraftWorks Restaurants & Breweries, Litespeed Bicycles, Republic Parking System and Unum.

Regionally, Chattanooga is home to CBL & Associates, Covenant Transport, Wacker, a major Amazon.com distribution center and a large T-Mobile call center. The William Wrigley Jr. Company has a prominent presence in Chattanooga, now the sole production facility for Altoids breath mint products. And, McKee Foods Corporation, maker of Little Debbie brand snack cakes, is a privately held, family-run company headquartered in nearby Collegedale, Tennessee.

And, Volkswagen Group of America completed a $1 billion production facility that serves as its North American manufacturing headquarters. In fact, VW’s delight in our downtown area and Chattanooga’s ability “to make the intangible tangible” was a major factor in their decision to locate here. Furthermore, Volkswagen Chattanooga just announced an additional investment of $600 million and 2,000 new jobs to produce their SUV line here in Chattanooga.
