Starting just south of 12th Street and running down to 20th Street, the Southside area is the focus of creating a sustainable urban neighborhood with various housing options, parks, restaurants, retailers, grocers and small businesses. Already flourishing with pocket housing areas such as Cowart Place, Fort Negley and Jefferson Heights, the eclectic Southside offers a wide variety of housing options for any budget, from apartments and condos to townhomes and single family homes of all designs – from contemporary to traditional. Also, Market and Main Streets are home to not only attractions such as the Chattanooga Choo-Choo, but several of the city’s finest restaurants, pubs, local retailers, city fire station, Spanish grocer and another planned upscale grocery store. The area also boasts Sanctuary Skatepark, Finley Stadium and First Tennessee Pavilion – home of the Chattanooga Market.
