Meet Our Communication Specialist: Amy Donahue

As a relatively new Chattanoogan, Amy hails from our neighbor to the north-Knoxville. With a Bachelor of Art in Communication and a Master of Science in Communication and Information from the University of Tennessee Knoxville, Amy helps spread the word about RCC’s projects, programs and downtown’s message.

With a background in finance and time spent teaching at UTK and the University of South Carolina Aiken, Amy is passionate about River City Company’s goal: working to keep downtown working. Although newer to the area than some, Amy cannot imagine a more perfect place to be living with her husband Chance.

Having worked for RCC since September, Amy is proud to be associated with endeavors like Project: PopUp and The Block that are making an important impact in our community. In 10 years, Amy believes downtown will be one of the most walkable communities in the country with a plentiful urban living, retail and restaurant scene.

During her time away from the office, Amy loves to eat at new restaurants, shop at antique stores and cook. Her tasty triple layer lemon cake was recently featured in a Times Free Press article, and she just completed her first 5k run.

Amy is a member of YPAC and sits on the boards for the University of Tennessee Alumni Association of the Chattanooga Network and the UTK College of Communication and Information Board of Visitors.
