Animating Downtown: New Banners and Wayfinding Signage February 26, 2013

Downtown Chattanooga is in the process of becoming a more colorful and easier area to navigate. Along with a host of other downtown partners, RCC has facilitated the implementation of 56 new wayfinding panels along with nine new maps and associated kiosks. Additionally, River City Company is sponsoring 406 new district specific banners to be placed downtown.

Project: PopUp Wraps Up February 26, 2013

At the end of February, the retail incubator Project: PopUp will officially come to an end. Along with partners Berry & Hunt and Chambliss, Bahner & Stophel, Project: PopUp allowed five budding business owners to start his or her business with six months of free rent totaling $95,000 along with a façade grant, $20,000 in innovative marketing assistance, 15 hours per business of professional development classes, $25,000 in general support, and mentors. The program created almost 30 jobs and internships.
